As part of the exhibition function draw () at Studio 40 in Cologne, Byron Co curated and photographed a presentation of works by Darío Morazán, a designer who explored drawing as a generative, algorithm-driven design method. The exhibition examined how physical drawing processes are redefined through the logic of computation.
The curation brought together a selection of Morazán’s rule-based drawing series, including process-based large-format experiments, instructional drawing systems, and iterative compositions shaped by repetition. Through art direction, the quiet artworks were displayed in coherence with the inviting L-shaped space, arranging them generously throughout the room.
The documentation captured the exhibit's procedural nature, visitor interactions, and fine-line aesthetics that revealed how analogue and digital methods converge in Morazán’s work.
