Byron Christopher Co (b. 1994, Manila) is a Filipino-German Creative Director & Artist based in Köln, Germany.
Rooted in graphic design & art, he graduated with honours at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. His good eye for aesthetics started in his first professional experience as an art director in a creative agency. Early in his career, his photographic work was placed front and center at the 2017 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
After moving to Germany to focus on his craft and further studies, he developed an image-based practice by ‘emerging images from archives’. His research on personal archival images culminated in a photobook, which was nominated for the Köner Design Preis '23, shortlisted in the PhotobookMuseum's Dummy Award '24, and exhibited outdoors in the entire city of Köln as part of the 'Kunst an Kölner Litfaßsäulen'.
Byron’s artistic & design works have been shown at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, New York Festivals, re:publica Berlin, Arles Books Fair, etc.
